Brings Back All The .24 Oldies But Goldies!

Space Academy has been busy getting the air force fleet up to .90 specifications. The integration of SP+ added a lot of missing parts but also removed some parts critical to KSA’s air breathing fleet. The new parts configuration also created difficulties with the designs of the air craft. Good thing for us we can just put the old parts back! We love this game!

This is the F1B Peacock for the .90 update. This is more air plane then space plane. We like it that way.

2015: A Space Trailer

Look who else has a teaser?

A shot for shot edit of the 2001: A Space Odyssey ending. Kerbalized, with the pace picked up a bit and a doughnut thrown in… out of scale and like 2001: A Space Odyssey, when you finish watching it you will be asking yourself “What the fuck did I just see?” Watch it and ask yourselves that same question!

Kerbal Space Academy begins flight operations in 2015!

...yes, giant space doughnuts will be involved

SSTO White Turkey: Approved

SSTO White Turkey

Space Academy has an unwritten policy of keeping its fleet designs as stock as possible. Many attempts have been made to create a SSTO craft to deliver crew and cargo to low orbit. With the addition of Space Plane Plus to the stock program Space Academy has been able to produce its first viable crew shuttle. The White Turkey can deliver an 8 kerbal crew to low orbit. Another unwritten law is to do it as sexy as possible and yes! We made it soooo sexy!

Space Academy's Fleet is complete!

Completed just in time to be obsolete! These were the craft that Jeb, Bob and Bill were to fly on missions around Kerbin, in space and even other planets! Now that update .25 parts are incompatible the entire fleet will have to be scraped and rebuilt.

The Kraken Incident

Kerbal Space Academy is on high alert as reports are coming in that one of its prototype vessels has been lost at sea along with Trucker Jeb. The incident occurred during a trial voyage of a Kersair ship to Runway Island that suffered catastrophic failure. Emergency search and rescue crews are on the scene. It is feared there are no survivors. When asked to comment on the indecent KSA Chief Commandant Ace had this to say, "Why didn't I send Bill"

Stay tuned for more

Emergency Reentry Test

Trials of the modified KG-800 chassis conducted an emergency reentry test. The KG-800 is not meant to renter the atmosphere once in orbit. How ever Bill needed to prove he could survive reentry with just his engines and no chute.

[UPDATE] Pilot Cmdr Bill Kerman survived with only a minor broken spinal column.

Space Academy Is Going To Drill!

According to this news,
KSP is getting a mission pack inspired by NASA’s Asteroid Initiative. It is going to be a mission to intercept an asteroid big enough to land on. According to the information they are going to Michael Bay it up by putting it on a collision course with Kerbin! They are calling it an extinction level event! This thing has got to be the size of Texas! Instead of sending up actors playing drillers pretending to be astronauts they are going to send Jeb and crew to Shatner the hell out of this one and nudge it into Kerbin orbit!

KSP just asked us to save Kerbin. Anybody want to say no? This is deep blue hero stuff! Space Academy is in!

Props to Squad for bag’n NASA!

Lets hope we see some mission specific parts!

UPDATE: Apparently we were lied to. CURSE YOU INTERNET!!! We will be lucky if these asteroids are bigger then a jumbo-64. They will probably burn up in the atmosphere. No extinction level event. Maybe some body will make a add on. We are getting new parts tho. So we got that going for us.

Experimental Quantum Technology Craft Trials

Experimental quantum technology craft undergoing trials at Space Academy.

Using a modified KG-800 chassis to test applications of quantum strut technology has proved promising. However, quantum struts are not compatible with cubic octagonal struts and will cause catastrophic failure. New "brace" technology was tested. Initial test returned positive results. Use of the technology as structural bracing will remain in "experimental phase" pending further testing. Use of Quantum struts relegated to securing cargo

Enhanced NAV ball: Pass: An add-on that needed to be made, very useful

Procedural Fairings: Pass: Integral parts in many ship designs used at the Space Academy

Deadly Reentry: Pass: Burning up in reentry. They worry about that in the movies right? Good so will we

Crew manifest: Pass: Everything you ever wanted to do with your crew and more

Haystack: Pass: Very Usefull

Tac Fuel Balancer: Pass: Deemed useful

Chatterer: Pass: HA!-larious
